Blog Envy - Life Envy

It's a busy Saturday, and here I am at 10:34am posting on my blog. What gives?

I've been blurking on many blogs, mostly those of LDS women, and I am amazed and flabbergasted at two things:

1. That they have the time to create and maintain such lovely, creative, inspired blogs

2. That their lives are such that they can post about such interesting and amazing things: travel, hobbies, crafting (lots of this, and not my area of expertise), family, photography, etc.

I have a wonderful life, granted, but I must be a profligate time-waster. I know I'm not the only one with kids, spouse, chores, church callings and the like.

In the spirit of NOT wasting time, I'm off to finish the aforementioned chores.

I am a much better time waster than you. You exercise and take your kids all over and have play groups and read and become educated. You are a great mom. Hey your kids eat vegetables. You have nothing to worry about. Why do you think I always ask you how to be a mom?

I have felt like the biggest time waster of the century! Sometimes blogs inspire me and sometimes they just depress me because I feel like I could do so much more. I know how you feel.

Sorry I didn't get your message until Joel told me. My mom's house gets horrible reception, so I usually just turn off my phone. Let me know next week when I can help!

I'm a HUGE blog envy-life envy kind of girl. I see so many well- done blogs with cute quips. And I see ladies with awesome lives and talents that I get a bit down sometime. I can't possibly keep up with so many talented people. I tend to only blurk those places once in awhile because I'd go nutz if I even tried to keep up with them. I don't want to actually. I just want to post what I feel or what I've been doing if only to have it as a keepsake. I'm not saying that I wouldn't want a fabulously done blog, but I actually feel bad about myself sometimes when I look at others. I'm certain that HF doesn't want me to feel that way.

You have a great blog Beth and you seem to be such a good Mommy too. I can't see you ever wasting too much time on anything. Don't get your "alone" time or "me" time confused with time wasting. We all need to energize our bodies and minds somehow. We deserve it too ;)

I know what you mean! How do they find time... surely their children and/or house are neglected ;)
Maybe they never sleep. A well rested mother is a better mother, so I'm sure you top them all in parenting!
Glad you found a little time to write though so I could feel like I've touched base with you. :)

I stopped blogging for two weeks and my house had never been cleaner and the clothes were always washed.

my kids are horrible eaters, a bathroom in my house always needs to be cleaned, I am horrible about returning phone messages, I have a horrible voice and can't read music - few in my family have received any birthday wishes this year from me.. and so on! so even though life on some blogs seem great there is always a real truth behind them

remember you can't judge a blog by it's cover!
