Over-Analyze

I over-analyze EVERYTHING. This is probably in my Top 5 Failings List.

It's bad. Sometimes I'll wake up in the middle of the night and repeatedly review something I said, or did. It goes like this: "Did I offend ______? Do they know that I'm usually sarcastic? Should I have done ________?"

Honestly, it's enough to drive me crazy. Or make me think I'm crazy. Or both.

And ultimately, it seems like a very selfish kind of fault to have. It presupposes that everyone I speak to carefully considers each word I speak. Obviously, that isn't the case in real life.

So, to those reading this post, just know that I never mean to openly offend anyone. Really. I've got nothing but peace and love to put out into this world! :)

And in the spirit of peace and love, and because I should use more visual images on my blog, check out these two sweeties:

Ditto. I always wonder how others perceive me. I over analyze especially when I'm really wanting that person's approval. I too hope that everyone who knows me knows that I have only good thoughts and would never want to offend.
Right there with ya sister!

And just for the record- from the little I know you, I can't imagine anyone would ever be offended by the things you say. There's no reason why anyone who has met you wouldn't just love you! That's just my impression of you. :)

Peace and love-- oh yah. I agree with the post. Way to express how everyone else is feeling:)

On a side note: I wish I were coming to Michigan a few weeks early. The summer line up is awesome: Brett Dennen, Martin Sexton are among my favs. I also enjoy G Love, Bob Dylan, Guster. And I've liked a few songs from Matisyahi, Ani D, String Cheese. I think it will be awesome. I would totally buy a ticket and go to as many performaces as possible! It sounds like a lot of reggae. Since when did Muskegon turn reggae? The last music festival I went to I heard DeAnna Carter and Earth Wind and Fire!!

Same here! I am bad at this too. I agonize over it sometimes. But you're right, people probably don't think too much about what we say. Of course, unless we offended them...oh crap :) jk.

Okay I am the horrible person. My first thought was "oh she never OPENLY means to offend, she means to SLYLY (is that word?) offend." Just kidding. You are one of the least offensive people I know. Love you!
